Honouring Quality and Performance

The UK Packaging Awards have a category for all segments of the industry, from corrugated and flexible packaging to design and investment in equipment.

The Performance Awards reward business financial performance and strategy, outstanding company projects, and individual achievement. Entrants in the Performance Awards categories must be companies registered in the UK, with either UK or overseas ownership.

The Quality Awards reward the quality of specific pieces of packaging. With the exception of the Metal Pack of the Year category, all entrants must be able to demonstrate that the pack was either manufactured in the UK, developed in the UK (for example, by a UK-based packaging development team at a brand or retailer) or designed in the UK (for example, by a UK-based design agency) on or after 1 May 2022. In addition, the pack must be entered into the competition by the UK-based entity involved in its creation. The only exception to this is the Metal Pack of the Year category, which is only open to members of the EMPAC association and must have been produced in countries covered by the EMPAC (European Metal Packaging) association.

This is your big chance to put your pack in the spotlight.

Entering the UK Packaging Awards will provide you with the unique opportunity to put your pack in front of a selection of the biggest packaging buyers in the UK.

Your entries will be judged by an independent panel of packaging buyers and specifiers from brands and retailers. Representatives from previous years have come from Tesco, Nestlé, Morrisons, Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, and Premier Foods. Previous winners have generated business as a direct consequence of entering these awards.

The industry’s biggest night out The UK Packaging Awards 2022 will be presented at a glittering awards ceremony on October 19, 2022, at Grosvenor House on Park Lane. The event has grown enormously in recent years and now attracts more than 800 people from across the packaging supply chain. People come to celebrate the industry's best products and achievements in the company of the sector's leading lights and with fabulous food and entertainment. Even if you don’t enter the UK Packaging Awards, or make it into the shortlist, you are still welcome to come along and enjoy the night with excellent networking opportunities!

Product samples must be ready to send in for Tuesday 12th July for judging. Delivery instructions will be sent to you after your entry has been completed.
