At the UK Packaging Awards, we are very proud of the panel of judges we bring together every year to scrutinise the many entries to the awards. We are equally proud of the judging process, which has developed over the years to ensure impartiality and fairness throughout the process.
The Judging Process
The UK Packaging Awards are judged on a single day at the University of West London on a date after the entry deadline has passed. The panel is split into teams to allow each judge to concentrate on categories within their field of expertise. Judges score every entry individually, based on the criteria and required information needed for each category. The total scores are then calculated to find out who the winners are. For the Quality Awards, the person who has produced the packs remains anonymous, ensuring that judging is purely based on the quality of the pack, and not the company behind it.
