With an arts degree in Graphic Communications Management from Napier University and over 20 years’ experience in packaging design, technical development and project management, Angela has a wealth of packaging experience from flexible food wraps to luxury wooden boxes and crystal decanters for Scotch whisky brands such as The Macallan. In her role as Brands Packaging manager with Edrington where she worked for 18 years, she was responsible for the delivery of multiple brand NPD and repackaging exercises and acted as interpreter between operations and brands, along with their creative agencies, to ensure idea integrity from concept to launch. Angela founded Lineup Studios earlier this year, a packaging design agency that conceptualise and realise beautiful structures and graphics. Embracing a holistic design approach with a bespoke team of creative specialists they create consumer experiences that transcend packaging to drive desirability.
During a 30-year career, Kate has built a reputation for beautiful, understated design, working as a creative director in house and for some of London’s leading design agencies.
Today, as an independent design consultant, Kate applies her considerable expertise to creating a timeless, desirable visual aesthetic for products and companies. She has a special interest in the sustainable and tactile qualities of packaging.
Kate started out in publishing, designing book covers. She has kept her love for print and typography, along with a keenly tuned sensibility and attention to detail. She’s perfectly at home with design technology, but generally prefers using a pencil to a mouse.
Dr Simon Elmer, Global Head of NPD at William Grant & Sons. Recently appointed after a career in Beauty Package Development spanning 23 years, he has spent the last 13 years focused on fragrance packaging for both P&G and Coty. During this time, he led an organisation in the development of packages for brands such as Hugo Boss, Dolce & Gabbana and Lacoste, and more recently focused on the Luxury brands Gucci, Burberry, Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney.
With a scientific background and a PhD in Electronic Materials & Computational Physics, he specialises in taking early design thinking to industrialisation that can be applied to any new product. Recognised in the Luxury Industry for collaborating with leading global designers and bringing their visions to life while being vigilant on the balance between cost and value to the consumer. He has lived and worked in both London and Paris and is passionate about developing both people and teams to perform at their very best. Enjoys making connections outside his industry and setting strategy based upon new insight.
Amy joined Mondelēz International in 2012 with a focus on developing global gifting platforms for the chocolate category. Having spent 3 years in New York in a Marketing role, Amy relocated to the UK to work on multi region launches for Big Bet Innovations for Mondelēz International’s power brands; Milka, Cadbury, Toblerone and Lacta. Amy started her career as a Packaging Designer working with Design Futures Group and Robinson Packaging, working with brands such as Shiseido, Greencore, Bulldog Skincare and Taittinger.
Scott is a leading Creative Design & Packaging expert with 20 years + experience in FMCG and has worked within a multitude of categories.
As a specialist in his field, Scott fully understands design development, production & manufacturing and has been responsible for many Global design & innovation projects for various Companies with outstanding results.
Previously, the Global Head of Design at Novartis, Director of Design & Innovation within Amcor & Head of Design at PMI Scotts experience speaks for itself. Scott has a vast knowledge in product development & creative management having been privileged to work from both sides of the coin, Client & Agency. Within the luxury category, Scott has designed & produced many outstanding packaging projects which have won awards across the Globe.
With over 20 years designing for global luxury brands, Vincent is a luxury packaging specialist with an understanding of production, development and commercial matters rarely seen in a creative.
The former Director of Packaging Design at Burberry, Vincent set-up the brand’s packaging design team, which he led for 8 years.
His achievements with the British Luxury brand include fragrances “My Burberry” and “Burberry Bespoke” amongst others, as well as the re-design of the corporate and e-retail packaging.
Prior to joining Burberry, Vincent ran his own business with his wife Angela, designing for brands including Givenchy, Yves St Laurent and Issey Miyake.
Vincent now leverages his unorthodox combination of design skills and pragmatism, providing support to luxury brands globally
